Let's be honest, a good cup of coffee has the power to make a good day great. With that in mind, here are a few of our favorite spots in the Bellevue area to get your caffeine kick!

Bean Thru

Bean Thru, a Birgo employee favorite, is an absolute must for coffee on the go! This coffee shop in Bellevue is unique in that it is a purely drive thru business, making it an efficient stop for a quality cup of joe on your way into the office.

They are known for their great customer service and delicious fresh brewed coffee.

Anchor & Anvil Coffee Bar

Anchor and Anvil, a cute coffee shop in Ben Avon (one neighborhood over), serves patrons great coffee and even better donuts. Their donuts are delivered daily from Oram’s doughnuts in Beaver Falls.

If you haven’t tried one of these doughnuts we suggest you run over to Anchor and Anvil ASAP to see what all of the hype is about!

California Coffee Bar

California Coffee Bar, in Brighton Heights (just a few minutes south of Belleuve), is another local favorite!

With the goal of keeping the Brighton Heights community caffeinated, they offer a selection of high quality coffee, tea, espresso, and food. Not to mention their super cozy and trendy space to enjoy your coffee.

Muddy Cup, another super trendy coffee shop in Bellevue, is the perfect place for an afternoon pick-me-up with their fun environment and their large selection of drinks, treats, and ice cream!

The Bellevue food scene is sure to satisfy with its variety of cuisine offerings! Providing locals with sleek and modern fare, classic mom and pop shops, and everything in between!

Maxwell’s Pizza

Maxwell’s Pizza offers the Bellevue community great pizza and great service at a great price! Need I say more?

Thai Tamarind, a Birgo employee favorite, is an awesome Thai restaurant in Bellevue! Offering customers quality food in a cozy atmosphere, it's perfect for a fun dinner out but is also great for takeout!

202 Hometown Tacos

202 Hometown Tacos, yet another Birgo employee favorite, is a Tex-Mex restaurant and bar in Bellevue.Their fun environment, delicious tacos, and fast service make them a go-to spot for a quick lunch or dinner out.

Original Big Shot Bob’s

Big Shot Bob’s is a must if you’re in the mood for wings! The local consensus is that their original location in Avalon (a borough bordering Bellevue) is by far the best in the Big Shot Bob’s franchise.

The only way to find out is to go try it for yourself!

Revival on Lincoln

Revival on Lincoln offers Bellevue locals an unparalleled American fine dining experience in a charming 1902 mansion. The mansion’s restoration in 2018 has made the restaurant one of many adaptive reuse projects throughout the city of Pittsburgh and has brought life back into this previously abandoned piece of Bellevue’s history.

The restaurant offers customers a variety of dining options with its combination of formal and informal dining spaces with a main dining room, smaller dining rooms, a bar area, and a large outdoor seating area!

Mia Madre Trattoria

Mia Madre Trattoria, an Avalon staple, is a family oriented Italian restaurant.

With ample portions and unparalleled hospitality, you'll feel like you’re at someone's home for Sunday family dinner! Be sure to try their cannolis!

EVIA Greek Restaurant

EVIA, a family run restaurant, has brought authentic Greek cuisine to Bellevue! Their menu offers customers staples such as Dolmades, Pastitsio, Spanakopita, and other specials utilizing seasonal ingredients.

Owner Chris Balouris strives “to transport Pittsburghers to a taverna in Greece.”

Dari-Villa is an awesome local lunch spot in Bellevue! Offering burgers, fries, and breakfast for lunch... How can you go wrong with this fast casual favorite?

Grille 565

Grille 565 is a homey local eatery in Bellevue serving customers delicious American fare! This gem offers homemade comfort food, a full bar, and live entertainment.

Fun fact: In 2015, Grille 565 received the first liquor license in Bellevue since prohibition times as Bellevue was previously a dry borough in Pittsburgh.

Lincoln Bakery

Lincoln Bakery is a place you MUST try! They have all sorts of goodies with everything from cakes, to pastries, to cookies, and more.

With more than 75 years serving the Bellevue community, it is no surprise that there is almost always a line on the weekends! For the best selection be sure to go early in the morning!

Good L’Oven Cookies

Good L’Oven Cookies is a family owned and operated shop dedicated to providing the Bellevue area with all things cookies!

With eight everyday flavors and 16 rotating flavors, you can’t go wrong. Be sure to call ahead to see what is coming fresh out of the oven!

Scoops in Bellevue

Scoops in Bellevue is your friendly neighborhood ice cream parlor. They offer all the classics plus a few unique flavors such as cannoli, Pittsburgh potholes, study break, and blueberry cheesecake! My go-to is the Pittsburgh potholes ice cream in a waffle cone!

Andrew Bayne Memorial Library

The Andrew Bayne Memorial Library is housed in an old Victorian home built in 1875. Head over to check out a good read or to find out more about different program offerings such as their Summer Reading Program!

Bayne Park

Bayne Park in Bellevue is the place to go for some outdoor fun! They offer playgrounds, gazebos, a community pool, and a skate plaza to Bellevue locals!

During the summer, they also have a variety of programs and activities such as a summer concert series, a farmer’s market every Wednesday from 3-7, and a free lunch program.

Pittsburgh Savoyards

Go see a show at the Pittsburgh Savoyards! Here, they offer two full stage productions of Gilbert & Sullivan comic operas with full orchestral accompaniment every year!

Lincoln Avenue Brewery

Lincoln Ave. Brewery is a cool, local spot in Bellevue that provides a fun venue for hangouts, especially if you can snag an outside table!

They also host events throughout the year where they block off the street and have music, food, and drinks!

Red, White, and Blue Thrift Store

Red, White, and Blue is a thrift store in Bellevue offering a wide variety of clothes, household items, and furniture at reasonable prices!

It’s always a fun treasure hunt! We recommend grabbing a coffee at Bean Thru or pastry from Lincoln Bakery before heading over for some thrifting!

Tom Friday’s Market is a local butcher shop in Brighton Heights that has been serving the Pittsburgh area since 1955.
